This project produced a viable and sustainable plan for the implementation of regional health information exchange. Partnerships for the project were formed within established networks of rural hospitals, clinics, public health providers, behavioral health providers, and others across a 14,000 square mile remote area. The planning process included participation from all levels of leadership from participating partners, and worked within existing collaborative and information channels to ensure scalability and extensibility to other key health care providers. The process produced a viable plan and collaborative network poised to move forward into implementation.
