This project developed and pilot-tested TJR App, a mobile application designed to help patients with osteoarthritis track their pain and activity, and found that app users were more likely to track symptoms consistently, when compared to non-users.
Integrated existing health IT technology software and systems among a three-hospital consortium to create a shared electronic record that ultimately gave providers access to real-time data and the ability to electronically prescribe medications. The goals of the project were to reduce medical errors, improve the quality of patient care, increase patient satisfaction and lower costs.
Utilized existing health IT standards to integrate the current stand-alone databases and information systems of a consortium of three rural health care systems as the basis for creating a comprehensive electronic health record for patient care.
