A National Web Conference on the Evaluation of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative

Event Date: April 10, 2007 | 2:00pm – 3:30pm ET

Overall Purpose:

The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative is a multi-stakeholder effort to promote the adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) and the implementation of clinical data exchange in Massachusetts. For its evaluation, the Collaborative has identified three diverse communities in the state, each of which is in the process of implementing EHRs and clinical data exchange. The evaluation plan includes an assessment of the current state of adoption, attitudes regarding adoption, providers use of the record, impact on quality and medication safety, a trial intervention to accelerate clinicians usage, and the economic impact of the program. Dr. Bates will describe the evaluation plan and results to date.
