Kevin Chaney, M.G.S.
Kevin Chaney, M.G.S., is a Senior Advisor for Dissemination and Innovation in the Division of Digital Healthcare Research (DHR) in the Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement (CEPI) at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). He serves as a strategic advisor on new and emerging digital healthcare tools, platforms, and methods to resolve critical issues involving digital healthcare and clinical informatics.
Prior to rejoining AHRQ, Mr. Chaney was Scientific Program Manager and Review Officer for the Veterans Health Administration, and a Senior Program Manager for the Scientific Advancement Branch at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), where he supported ONC’s Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) activities, and ONC’s Leading Edge Acceleration Projects (LEAP) in Health IT program. Mr. Chaney co-led the development ONC’s National Health IT Priorities for Research: A Policy and Development Agenda (PDF, 1.8 MB) to support alignment between the clinical and research ecosystems. Kevin started his federal journey at AHRQ supporting programs and projects to generate new knowledge about improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery through health IT. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Gerontology at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio).
