Sheena Patel

Sheena Patel, M.P.H. is a Health Research Scientist in the Division of Digital Healthcare Research (DDHR) in the Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement (CEPI) at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) where she serves as a Program Official on digital healthcare research projects.

Prior to joining AHRQ, Mrs. Patel worked at various MedStar Health entities. Most recently, she was a Project Manager and Clinical Health Informaticist on the Medstar Physician Informatics team. She led the Behavioral Health EHR optimization council and served as the informaticist on the Quality and Safety council. As a project manager, she led new implementations of EHR components that are currently used system-wide. As an Informaticist, she trained hundreds of physicians and clinical staff members and was considered a subject matter expert for EHR usability and workflow. She oversaw 33 hospital and outpatient sites and was the liaison between the EHR and end user. Mrs. Patel received her Bachelor and Master of Public Health degrees from The University of Maryland.
