Wendy Drys, D.N.P., N.P.-C.
Wendy Drys, D.N.P., N.P.-C. is a Staff Service Fellow for both the Division of Digital Healthcare Research (DHR) and the Division of Practice Improvement (DPI) in the Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement (CEPI) at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). She supports AHRQ’s mandate related to the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund (PCORTF). Wendy serves as a project manager and coordinates activities and products from multiple initiatives related to clinical decision support (CDS) and dissemination and implementation of PCOR findings.
Dr. Drys joined AHRQ after working as an occupational health nurse practitioner and serving as Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. Prior to joining the federal government, she practiced in a variety of clinical settings including corrections, addiction, sleep medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. She has been involved in the implementation and improvement of electronic health records across multiple health systems.
