Designed a county-wide health information system that allowed health information sharing and permitted real-time order placement by hospitals, health departments, private physicians' offices, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
Citizens Memorial Healthcare (CMH) will establish the standardization efforts necessary for data capture of quality measures in an ambulatory EMR system and demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of using a data extraction and reporting expert to perform quality measurement in the ambulatory care setting. CMH will standardize and integrate data capture for quality of care measurement into the normal documentation of care within the ambulatory EMR.
In this project, a clinical decision support tool was developed for Otitis Media, and then studied in a cluster randomized controlled trial to evaluate its impact on the quality of care of Otitis Media.

Evaluated the effects of staggered installation of an Epic health IT system that includes an EMR with provider order entry and clinical decision support in primary care settings on quality, safety, and resource use within a large integrated delivery system on cohort of 780,000 members with chronic illnesses.
In this project, the Center for Studying Health System Change conducted research exploring the effective use of electronic prescribing (e-prescribing) in physician practices and pharmacies.
Examined the impact of integrating ambulatory CPOE with advanced CDSS on safety and quality in the ambulatory setting, its organizational efficiency, workflow, and satisfaction, and conducted a cost-benefit analysis.
